What you cannot place in the wild

Outside town land in Westeros, you cannot place these: lava buckets, water buckets, powder snow buckets, obsidian, crying obsidian and TNT. On your own town's land they all work normally, and your town decides who may build there. The Nether and the End are not affected, so you can still build a return portal there.

Everything else in the wild stays open to you.

Cobblestone generators do not work

Lava and water will not produce cobblestone or stone here. No generator works.

Dying on another town's land

If you die on land claimed by another town, you keep your whole inventory and your experience levels. Your own town's land and the wild are deliberately excluded, so a death there costs you the usual.

Towns are safe from mobs

Hostile mobs cannot injure you while you stand on claimed town land, your own town or anyone else's. Everything else is unchanged: falling, lava, drowning, starvation and fights between players all behave normally.

Treasure in the End

Loot you take from chests and barrels in the End comes out stripped: gear is disenchanted, and potions become empty bottles.

Sleeping through the night

You do not need everyone in bed to skip the night. Once 25% of the players online are asleep, morning comes for everyone, so one town sleeping together is usually enough. Sleeping also keeps phantoms away.

Invisible item frames

Hold shears, crouch, and right-click an item frame that already holds an item, and the frame disappears while the item stays where it was. Remove the item to bring the frame back.
